Haha! He could comfortably place his hand on the tyre, yet thought it was hot enough to fry an egg? I need some of that strong smoke, its the only way to "understand" this unfortunate new era of dumbed down TV.
Didn't i hear them saying on Friday that the tyre temp right after a hot lap would be 90°C which would be enough to fry an egg ?

A shame renault engine is crap but anyway good position for max.

hehehe well who is gonna defend to the max against max.

hamilton can loose point and vettel also.

you know max will be coming with a all out attack
because he does not care and there is no wingman to help hamilton to block the field.

this gonna be some first lap, who has the balls to block or attack max.
i don't think lewis or vettel will because they will kill themselfs in the progress

so easy win for max if the PU doenst blow up.
or vettel or hami a dnf with archy bargy against max

and good to see redbull with a normal rearwing for a change
I can see your thought process here very clearly. I don't subscribe to logic either.
point is in a equal car both vettel and hamilton will have no change.
Always find the gap then use it.

@apexcontrol, Max has already said right after Qualy that the most important thing is to get through the opening lap. So that means he won't go all crazy like you say.

Great lap from Hamilton and Bottas matched Vettel and beat Kimi. So I'm not even that bothered now if Vettel finishes in front of Lewis tomorrow, Its clear now the Mercedes is the best car, so I can't see the title going to Ferrari now. Ferrari needed a front row lock out by a decent chunk. I feel the red team will now drop their heads and find it hard to go again. Mercedes on the other hand are currently at the highest of highs.
he will go crazy first lap, because he know there nothing to gain, with a renault PU in the back.
0 score or win, nothing in between.

the only 2 guestions are will the renault PU explode / or will vettel or hami have a crash with verstappen.
if neither happens verstappen wil win.
So you know Max better than Max ? Or you have a time machine

orcourse the ferrari and mercedes are little bit faster, then the redbull but verstappen is faster then hami and vettel so he will have the advantage

I think also part of the jump for Lewis was today in Qualy was the first time we saw Lewis flirting with the walls. Vettel had nothing extra to give he was flirting in Friday practice

Tomorrow, the reality is that Hamilton doesn't need to win. He can happily come second to Verstappen or even Vettel. Vettel needs the win, or at least to be ahead of someone ahead of Hamilton. That means Hamilton can afford to let Max through in turn 1 and block Vettel, heck, he could even go P3 and still be reasonably happy. Indeed, P3 with Vettel P2 wouldn't be the worst outcome - only 3 points lost rather than 7 if he comes P2 to Vettel's P1.

So Hamilton can play the long game a bit. I could see Max wanging one up the inside, Vettel trying to follow. All three out, Kimi or Bottas wins. Again, Hamilton wouldn't be too upset by that outcome.

Mercedes were 4.1 seconds faster than they were last year.

Ferrari improved 2.8.

Also noticed the gap between ham and bot last year was 0.684. This year it was 0.687

We are indeed witnessing the unfurling of a real legend. It has taken the world of F1 very long to acknowledge it.

Lewis will easily catch Schumacher in the WDC overall stand.
And it's a shame that it's not so sure about 2021's situation
I really want him to dominate F1 history.
After today,i think he deserves his name to be written in history books.
