Quiet refreshing hearing Lewis give Max some advice. I think Lewis sees himself in Max and knows he would have made similar mistakes 10 years ago. In a way it shows what a comeplete driver Lewis has now become.

Remember Spa 98? Maybe he didnt punch, but he certanly tried or wanted to.
did he punch him? i watched that race live.....but where did he hit DC? he didnt even take a swing at him....he was angry and was going to argue with him angrily at that point.
Only because there was a garage full of McLaren (and some Ferrari guys) getting in between them. If that were not the case, it certainly looked like he was up for a good old bit of pushy/shovy like Max did, or worse.
hmmm...so now we know what Schumacher was going to do 20 years ago? :? and people are certain about it 8)

I see Max trying this on Kevin Magnussen and getting flattened that he would see the Sun and think its the Moon!
Knocked out first, then knocked out further even when he is already knocked out.

I think it was obvious Schumi would have done at least what Max did today .

Anyway its pointless talking that. What people need to understand is that Ocon asked his team can I unlap him (as max was cruising looking after his tyres) So Ocon had a go as he had new Supersofts and had plenty of pace in hand.

If Max was in a boy band it would be called One Dimension.

Talk in the cool down room...
Hamilton on Ocon to Verstappen: "He's allowed to unlap himself, you know."
Verstappen: Yeah but not the race leader like that."

Max seemed to think that as race leader he shouldn't have been unlapped. Not sure if that shows a lack of understanding or a bit of ego.

I reckon Max needs to hold his hands up and accept that he messed up. He drove the racing line with a car that was almost fully alongside on his inside.

I think that Ocon is a better wingman than Bottas. At least he is more efficient. He is ready to replace Bottas.

That depends on the situation, whether you need a hit man or a blocker.

What people are not thinking about is Max was driving to look after his tyres (which was right) Ocon had almost brand new supersofts and had a lot more pace available. Max should have just let him go. Lewis was no threat at that point.
The problem was widespread. Alonso's blue flag penalty was more of the same. He was pushing on new super softs, probably didn't have the guy behind come is quickly enough, and opted too long to stay ahaead. Not much of a difference for him anyway though.

As for Verstappen, I'd say Hamilton put that right after the race by point out that Max is "a bit of a go getter". I would agree Ocon was to blame, but Verstappen would better look at himself for not being a bit more careful. But, then again, that's no news.

So why did Ferrari go that conservative with the strategy? I was hoping for a very long stint on Softs and a short one on SS to the end.

Apparently Lewis also said remember you have more to lose.

Watching the press conference i cant help but think what Lewis and Kimi must be thinking.
