I've played it on rFactor. It is very stop-start but very fast at the same time. The final sector is ridiuclously fast with a flat out 290km/h+ corner before the final tight hairpin. It's brilliant! At the end of the two long straights (after turn 3 and after turn 6) you get close to 320km/h. What a track.ReubenG wrote:I've had a look at the circuit diagram of Valencia on http://www.formula1.com/races/in_detail/europe_798/. According to the diagram, there are 3 areas where the expected speed is > 300km/h. I also noted two additional corners where the expected speed is >290km/h and hence would expect the speed on the subsequent straights to exceed 300 km/h. Using the circuit diagrams for the other races, that's more high speed sections than Silverstone! I haven't seen any data for the other racing series hosted there already, or rFactor telemetry - are these predicted speeds accurate or is this a marketing ploy on the part of F1.com? Some of the corner speeds also seemed optimistic (T6 marked at 240 km/h when the preceding T4/5 chicane looks to be <120km/h).
