Good News, cant wait to see what impact he will have on the team. Obviously we will have to wait until 2020 season to see any tangible changes, but my feeling is that piece by piece the puzzle comes to light

EDIT* Now we only need to know the date for James Key as well... how much more gardening leave can he have from RBR? 6 months?
Been longer than 6 months. Must be one helluva garden.
I mean how much more left does he have? 6 more to go or more :?
Sometime in the middle of the year I presume. Pretty odd given Andreas was announced later.

So far both STR and Renault have gone with a RBRish side pods. Bit surprised with Renault, pleasantly for them I think. I'm expecting more of the same from McLaren.

It was a no brainer really. Mclaren might be a tad bit more aggressive than Renault though as it custom.

you mean more of the same from last season,
or similarly copying the RB sidepods for 2019?

i'm pretty sure the 2019 mclaren will be completely different.

2018 car was initially build for Honda PU, so I'm also thinking that MCL-34 will be drastically different

Can someone please explain how will the top manegment look like with all the arrivals and departures (Key, Seidl, etc.). Like what are the roles and responsibilities of each member.

Thank you

I guess that the livery will be almost identical like in 2018 (that's MP4-31, not MCL34)

This isn't anything new, Sainz has already said the new car is elaborate and much different to previous car! wouldn't we be concerned if it wasn't!

The entrance to the side pod, the opening starts further back. To make it all legal, an upper and lower wing start (further forward) where the rules say the side pod should start. It is all RBR 2018. I presume they've done this to limit the length of the car, therefore, weight.

Unrelated to to RBR the upper air intake looks small at first glance but if you look closely the whole lower part is a opening just hard to see with the black...Will be interesting how that will look on the McLaren.

In 2017 they extended the deal for another 2 years, which has already expired. I guess they are bound to leave anyway.
