Just saying like, someone took the decision to pay lots of extra bucks for one driver, so will it have any effect on which one is 'best'?

Daniel has the mental edge before things even get going - knowing you are a race winning driver is a huge advantage.

I don't think Daniel will destroy Nico, as he's a quality driver, but Daniel will still come out on top imo.

Imo the mentally strongest driver pairing on the grid. Renault have secured two no nonsense, fearless, extremely fast but clean drivers that will be truly a headache for teams all year. I expect a podium or two from both. Danny made the right move leaving Red Bull. He will do well at Renault.

This season is going to kick ass.

You say that as if you know for a fact. Reality is, it's just a guess. There is really no way of telling who is faster at this point.

If you're correct, that it is as close as you think, then it will not be easy to tell at the end of the year... As there are always extenuating circumstances for a few races...

Looks like RS19 is better car. More powerful, better aero, better suspension system. I think Renault will surprise many people, as nobody seems to care so far.

They are definitely the dark horse imo - I think they'll be nipping at the heels of RedBull.

Quick car, more versatile, better tyres management, compare to last year. If reliability and strategies are strong, with such wisdom and talented pairing, they should score a lot. Who knows with this consistency and regularity, and luck, they even could contend for a final P3, if Ferrari and Mercedes are solid and RBH weak.

Right now all we can really say is they have a better driver lineup.

If the cars are close, I agree, look for Renault to take 3ird.
