F1 seems to age drivers ridiculously. Kubica is just getting hit a bit harder than most.

I just hope Liberty doesn’t try and take over the FIA start with gimmicky celebs starting the races. Although pretty sure they can’t just incase they have to have an aborted start etc...

F1 seems to age drivers ridiculously. Kubica is just getting hit a bit harder than most.

I think it's because of his hair, he's always looked older. The burden of high foreheads

He had a few stressful years following his accident. The whole "will I ever be able to do my life's dream of driving in F1 again?" is likely to make anyone look older than might be expected. He suffered a life changing injury. Everyone ages a bit when that happens.

Sadly, this is most likely with F1 as it is. You can just imagine the start becoming a whole new show ... erm sorry, circus.

About 6.5 hours away from watching FP1 and I can't wait!

It is always exciting to see all the new car designs in the flesh in Australia.

I'm dying to know how qualifying is going to play out in real life. And I think the mid-field is going to be very closely packed. Not to mention all these reg changes to make it easier to follow another car. Could be one hell of an exciting race to start the season!

Nah, even when you take the forehead away by hiding it in a cap, Kubica still looks quite old.

That no doubt contributes something, but there are numerous drivers who've had serious accidents and not aged so dramatically; Alex Zanardi and Billy Monger for instance.

I'm confident he did. In the heat of the moment he's super-competitive but, once he's cooled down, he always struck me as quite bright and level-headed.
