Extremely close quali today. Mercedes just about locked out the front row. Ferrari are close and with a bit of luck Williams can challenge them in the race.

Unless things turn around the next race as they did last year, we're in for another 2016 like dull season.

Love your sarcasm. At least Williams made it to Q1!

Hopefully Ferrari's race pace is better.
last year they won with basically the same gap after qualy. last year 0.664/0.674 , this year 0.704/0.956 both Ferrari
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

Well.... not good today. If the reports about limited development in the Ferrari concept are true then this going to be a bit of a nightmare of a year :(

Positives are I guess the car looks very smooth and easy to drive. Maybe this will result in good tyre wear in the race.

Last year Ferrari made some mistakes if memory serves.

With a monumental VSC gaffe while Hamilton was leading comfortably.

And with no Bottas in the equation because of his qualifying crash.

Wonder what Marko will say... Weren’t they “clearly ahead of Mercedes”... They rushed their China update... Imagine if they wouldn’t have done so! Probably missing Q3... And what about his prediction of Mclaren been with Williams at the back... I guess Norris has something to say about that! Ha

My worry is that I couldn’t see any obvious mistakes by Vettel like last year. Also the times by both the Mercedes and Ferrari pairs hints at true pace.

They only won last year because of the safety car.

Issues aside Ferrari will be 20 seconds behind at the end of the race, mark my words.

Details doesn't matter, as long as the surfacial view is pleasing. Exactly what all the experts around the world did in winter testing.
