Valtteri Bottas started from pole position, and calmly finished the race, keeping Hamilton at bay, despite continuing pressure. Together, they made for the 4th 1-2 finish for Mercedes this season. Sebastian Vettel settled for third.
So Hamilton reversed onto the track, what are the rules around that?
I would think what is allowed and isnt is discussed in the drivers briefing prior to the race weekend and not really public information. Not sure if there is a rule on that anyway.
During FP3 some of the commentators said that it was perfectly legal provided it's safe to do so.
So Hamilton reversed onto the track, what are the rules around that?
drivers being doing it all weekend, and only now Ham has done it, you pipe up ??
I haven't seen any reversing onto the track, only the applicable spin round or multipoint turn. Also rules differ between FP's and Qualy and finally the race. I have not seen FP1 of FP2. I presume you're Hamilton sensative.

You should have seen the practice sessions then, before making comments like that.

I asked what the rule was, I made no statement. Read my post properly.

Yeah, and I told you drivers have been doing it all weekend. You miss that ? Drivers been doing it all weekend, so its safe to say its not a problem. Like Sierra117 said, its not a problem as long as you do it safely.

Nope, Hamilton absolutely reversed onto the track and impeded Vettels lap. There was a clear replay.

Hamilton being in the run off meant Vettels lap was gone anyway. Yellow flags would have been out 100%

Max will be the only one with a tow, so your saying Max on pole ?
During Q1 Horner basically confirmed that Gasly will not try to make it into Q3
So why risk the car going fastest in Q1 ?
Actually Horner said Gasly would not assist Verstappen with a tow.
Maybe they just need to validate their race pace set up? Gasly looked mighty, looking forward to seeing him dice through the field. The Toro Rosso's seem to have some pace too.
