After 3 races we still don't know how Rbr race pace compares to Mercedes
Yes we do, Verstappen is faster than Bottas, and every bit Hamilton's match any conditions, and the gap will only go in Red Bull's favor as Honda's engine keeps improving, and Red Bull start really dialing in the chassis. Winning in F1 is 40% fastest car 40% best team, 10% best driver and 10% luck.

With teams so close in performance means most cars are within 3% of each other, but then the team disparity can be as high as 10%, and driver skill at this level is probably less than 1%. With things being so close .1% difference in luck can give us as wildly differing results as today.

I'm crying. Double Honda Podium. Help me. please....When did it happen last?
That should be an interesting stat and should entail some nostalgia with legendary names. Seeing Kvyat helmet on the on board with the giant Honda logo looked so awesome. Wished RBR did the same.
Agreed. Feels like Aston Martin is unfairly hogging all the screentime from Honda. Car manufacturers should not sponsor another team. Honda logo should be on max's visor. Engine is the heart of a car not sponsors.
Infiniti was just a sponsor, Aston Martin has a real working relationship with Red Bull, the Valkyrie was designed at Milton Keynes and is leading Aston's whole new mid-engined sportscar and supercar lineup.

Which is somewhat awkward considering Red Bull and Honda, but it's not as simple as saying Aston Martin needs to go.

I do wish Honda had more influence on the livery though, perhaps next year considering the success and how committed Red Bull and Honda seem to be.

I would love to see a giant Honda branding on the RW like the BAR Honda days 😍

I don't see anything wrong with AM branding and Honda doesn't either. Just think Honda should be on the visor like Kvyat. HONDA logo on the nose should be bigger and about time they changed the logo to red.

STUNNING race stunning strategy stunning MAX stunning Honda reliability.
Reliability is amazing, Renault again one or two engine failures.
Honda deserves a lot of credit in that regard... The reliability of the engine has been impecable and major reason for the current success.

In Austria Mercedes had cooling issues, in silverstone Max was stuck behind Ferrari for the whole race before seb punted him out and in Germany Lewis binned it before putting on slicks . So the the pace between Redbull and Mercedes is yet to revealed in a straight shoot out

Bottas was unable to follow Max pace after the SC restarts, so that should give you some input that race pace of RBR is getting closer to the Mercs. If the Spec 4 brings more HP than the updates from Merc and Ferrari, we will have an exciting second part of the season

Kvyat or Albon to replace Gasly after Hungary. Gasman didnt do himself no favours this week. Very poor racer, cant pull an overtake with superior chassis. Fully at fault for the crash and the stewards concurred. Guy isnt good at overtaking and you cant teach that.

Kvyat should be in the 2nd Red Bull in Hungary. Imagine if Max had a car problem or something, you can't rely on the other car to pick up the slack. I'm calling Max for the win in Hungary... (all things being equal)
It'll be very close, a bit closer than it was in GB, so it's going to be a nailbiter of a qualifying. The most enticing part is that the race is next weekend, and get this, there's a chance of rain ALL weekend. But it's not going to be the kind of rain we had today, no, it'll be sharp downpours which will come and go, the conditions will be even more chaotic. Although there's also a decent chance that it won't rain at all.

If it is dry, then I suppose that Max definitely has a chance to get on the front row at least. Starts are something they still need to work on, but the car's pace is mighty. If it doesn't rain then it will be a race of attrition, 70 laps, and sweltering heat means tires will take a pounding as will the cooling systems of the cars.

There will be a nice head wind through sector 1 of the lap, turn 4 will be quite fun in that instance, but will certainly make things tricky in sector 2. Turn 11 is quite the favorite of mine, being nearly flat.
Now we have heavy rain here, too, but no guarantee for the next weekend :)
And Hungaring Hamilton's favourite track, so it will be a hard job to beat him and Mercedes here. (But love to see a Honda win here as Jenson Button did it in 2006)
"Without racing the automobile would not get better. Head to head competition in front of a crowd is the way to become number one in the world." S. Honda

Seems the better job max does the worse it get for gasley. The way albon was driving when they where on track together was like someone who knows he has a chance of that seat. So didn't want to give him an inch like how Toro Rosso normally do for the red bull cars

Gasly was almost dead last after first couple of laps. Complete disgrace.

Fantastic race and fantastic result for both redbull/honda teams. Nevertheless it really seems that software currently is honda's Achilles heel. If they manage to solve those issues, they may be pushing for a fight for driver's championship.
