I think Hungary will be Gasly's last race as a Redbull driver. May be he has the speed to be close to Max sometimes but he's nowhere near mental skills to be a good F1 driver. Actually after today's race I think that Stroll is better than him.

Judging by the interviews of Marko and Tanabe san, these are not software problems. They tried to squeeze more power out of the PU, but the engine just goes into safe mode and they returned to the previous mode. This indicates a very good PU security system. They are looking for limits to use the motor as much as possible.
Not the qualifying thing, little things like the turbo lag, or the drivability out of the grid on the start of the race, where both Max and Pierre just didnt go anywhere with all that wheelspinKelsO wrote: ↑28 Jul 2019, 21:02Judging by the interviews of Marko and Tanabe san, these are not software problems. It certainly looks that way and I agree with your verdict. I too expected Gasly to be close in qualy. But his mental attitude and racecraft have been below par.IvailoStefanovBG wrote: ↑28 Jul 2019, 20:56I think Hungary will be Gasly's last race as a Redbull driver. No I do not agree. The start was poor, but not because of a Honda or a turbo lag or poor handling. See the start, the entire right part of the field started badly, it is obvious that the odd part of the field had much more grip.
Turbo lag was discovered after RBR made improvements to the chasis and max could get on the accelerator earlier. As the car develops these issues will surface that needs adaptation but they are not systemic. Today was to little grip that caused wheel spin and Austria was too much that caused the PU bog.Jaisonas wrote: ↑28 Jul 2019, 21:20Not the qualifying thing, little things like the turbo lag, or the drivability out of the grid on the start of the race, where both Max and Pierre just didnt go anywhere with all that wheelspinKelsO wrote: ↑28 Jul 2019, 21:02Judging by the interviews of Marko and Tanabe san, these are not software problems. Yup and if someone forgets we have Max Verstappen mentioning Honda and pointing to the Honda logo for hundreds of millions of viewers.godlameroso wrote: ↑28 Jul 2019, 19:30We all know that these wins are powered by Honda, Renault knows it too.
Gasly not in the picture unlike Ric always was. I think Marko already told him he is gone.honda_fun wrote: ↑28 Jul 2019, 19:41https://streamable.com/87p0f
verstappen and redbull team is great!!
These things can largely be solved by simulation? Now that there have been a few races the virtual chassis should be more refined and the engineers can develop new mapping strategies for the turbo.Datco wrote: ↑28 Jul 2019, 22:25Turbo lag was discovered after RBR made improvements to the chasis and max could get on the accelerator earlier. Ric skipped most of them too. Especially when he was having the “should have been me” mindset moments. Max was on there in malaisia 2017 though.Pyrone89 wrote: ↑28 Jul 2019, 23:07Gasly not in the picture unlike Ric always was. Max can follow Bottas with the same trye, but once max was ahead,Bottas couldnt do the same thing,so at least we can say Max was faster than one Mercedes this race.Personally i think he can match Lewis's pace if he was not stuck behind Bottas. Anyway, this is a special race,so difficult conditions,so its hard to draw the conclusion.Bill wrote: ↑28 Jul 2019, 20:17In Austria Mercedes had cooling issues, in silverstone Max was stuck behind Ferrari for the whole race before seb punted him out and in Germany Lewis binned it before putting on slicks . So the the pace between Redbull and Mercedes is yet to revealed in a straight shoot out
That's how Hamilton got his reputation. Coming from behind in certain championships in the past.IvailoStefanovBG wrote:Max is just 61 points short from Hamilton....Just imagine if we have greatest comeback in history of F1 this year.....
