Plus RedBull pushed drivers too soon a couple of times; Gasly and Kvyat. One year seems to be too short, one and a half (Vettel and Verstappen) or two (Ricciardo) has more succes. Pushing Albon after only half a season would be killing another talent and Kvyat has been thrown around a lot trough the years.

I think for 2020 Albon and Kvyat stay at STR and they find a nice Mark Webber to sit next to Verstappen, on a one year contract with an option if Verstappen leaves for Mercedes in 2021. Someone like Hulk, Bottas or Perez.

Vettel, Verstappen, Ricciardo are just way better drivers. The time is just an excuse. Look at Leclerc

So get Alonso on RB with a no bitching over preferential treatment clause?

We often talk bad about Vettel here it seems, but you dont become 4x WDC by accident. Not saying he is Prost level (who also has 4 titles).

I respect Vettel very much, he is a very fast driver, he has a very good work attitude, no one can fault him for his dedication or his ability when they are there. We are all human and we all have flaws, Verstappen has flaws as well, but in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.

I don't see Fernando getting a drive in a Honda powered car, they won't even give him an engine for Indy. That relationship is ended, too bad for him... hopefully he's learnt a lesson in restraint.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Here's some verstappens onboards after he got into the lead. To add a bit of context to the level at which he was driving I've included live gaps along the regular speedometer. He really was just making the entire field look silly at certain stages, especially SC restarts. If this was a dry race verstappen would probably win either way, as merc ran simply too much downforce for a dry track, which showed in their poor pace when the track dried out.

and the restart on lap 46. Casually putting 5s on bottas in 1 lap, before pitting for slicks. Then proceeding to destroy stroll as if he's standing still.

Definitely, I think most teams have a SC button or multifunction dial setting on the wheel that adjusts stuff like that. Not to sure about charging in the pitlane (probably not very effective) but there are high power modes for in and out lap.
SC mode is probably very similiar to the charge mode after a hotlap in terms of SOC management, full recovery via MGUK and H and near zero deployment.

i'm not sure what buxton is on about with "drivers having to contend with fuel preservation", but there was absolutely no fuel saving going on that i've seen. Zero. What he's hearing as lift and coast towards the end of straight is actually ers derating and thus speeds droping on it's own.

A 3rd win on Hungary would be awesome for what we were expecting at the start of the season! We can fight now for the 2nd WCC and WDC, and make a very exciting 2nd part of the season. A dream would be STR joining the battle on the upper midfield with the Spec 4 and helping RBR sometimes...

No updates planned for next race, right?
