A bit rich coming from the driver who crashed heavily at Radillon "just seeing if it would go flat", back in the days when the complex was not flat.dans79 wrote: ↑06 Sep 2019, 14:21Honestly, with as much utter bs as he spews, how is Villeneuve still allowed into any paddock......

So Mercedes have significant race pace edge then. It helps if you can get ahead in the first lap, of course, but if not you need a decent pit stop strategy to do an overcut.
That's why I was saying it was utter bs. I'm betting not many people remember that though.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑06 Sep 2019, 18:09A bit rich coming from the driver who crashed heavily at Radillon "just seeing if it would go flat", back in the days when the complex was not flat.dans79 wrote: ↑06 Sep 2019, 14:21Honestly, with as much utter bs as he spews, how is Villeneuve still allowed into any paddock......

They're all-clear to run in the highest modes this weekend (unlike last weekend). Brixworth was able to determine that the failures in the other engines weren't a result of running higher power.
They're in pretty good shape with race pace, especially considering their long runs were a bit compromised by weather and traffic (per Shovlin). Shovlin went on to say that both drivers were happy with the balance, so they'll continue to fine-tune it.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑07 Sep 2019, 02:38So Mercedes have significant race pace edge then.
