you witnessed it.Zarathustra wrote: ↑13 Oct 2019, 08:58Why would Mercedes want to ‘screw’ their star-driver??
Some of you are just hilarious.
Because they get their calculations wrong. Monaco 2015, Austria 2016, Austria 2018 and here in Suzuka.Zarathustra wrote: ↑13 Oct 2019, 08:58Why would Mercedes want to ‘screw’ their star-driver??

The team put Hamilton on the worst strategy Hamilton was livid when he saw the gap to Bottas/Vettel. He then made it work for him and Mercedes just decided to suddenly say ‘yeah sorry Lewis we need ya to pit again even though you don’t need to because you’re too good and Valtteri is moaning so box please’.FrukostScones wrote: ↑13 Oct 2019, 09:03BOT was put into a --- situation today. They took certain victory from him. Until they pit HAM again.
you know what happend.
Same situation with bottas austria 2017. I agree it's a BS rule and those limits should be reduced significantly, if not entirely removed.El Scorchio wrote: ↑13 Oct 2019, 09:11I can’t believe Vettel got away with that false start when Kimi was penalised last time.
Tolerances and sensors blah blah. THE CAR VISIBLY MOVED. It also clearly impacted the cars around him.
Yeah, saw it in the timing app that something strange was happening. Not sure if race itself did actually go full distance in the end. I think it did, but if the timings showed race concluded a lap earlier it doesnt matter I believe.
Oh and before anyone tries to murder me, here's the real thing36.13 Either of the penalties under Articles 38.3c) or d) will be imposed on any driver who is judged
to have :
a) Moved before the start signal is given, such judgement being made by an FIA approved
and supplied transponder fitted to each car, or ;
b) Positioned his car on the starting grid in such a way that the transponder is unable to
detect the moment at which the car first moved from its grid position after the start
signal is given.
It worked for them didn't it? You saw Lewis tried and tried and just couldn't pass Vettel. Vettel lost the race largely due to his terrible start.
