On another note pretty much everyone had a retirement on these tests. Mclaren is the only team that didn't have a single problem yet.

Was that something to do with what happened in Honda?

Even in 2018 we had poor reliability in the tests

Renault in general have been very reliable so far, that was their aim with this new spec for 2020. The power was there last season but too often needing detuned during the race for reliability reasons. Race pace should be much better as a result.

Edit: This in contrast to Mercedes who are chasing performance against Ferrari and having some issues this winter. Hopefully that comes good for next season when McLaren switch across.

I agree that McLaren is not showing its full potential but the one that’s hiding the most is without doubt Ferrari

It’s so tricky to drive any conclusions from the timings... Been following Lando’s laps, as well as Vettel’s and Strolls... When on Medium tires, Lando was lapping on the 1.24’s while Vettel and Stroll were in the high 1.22’s... It made it look that they were way off the pace, now Lando is on Hards and he was on the high 1.22’s, mid 1.23’s while Vettel was on the high 1.23’s

Pretty hard to take anything out of it... What amazed me though is the consistency on the lap times and the fact that Lando was very close to 2 seconds slower versus his personal best on each sector of the lap

You know what? Those of us who have some self-respect and pride in our work do an honest day's work. We may draw inspirations from others, which is recognition of others' work in some way, and make our own iterations with our creativity.

To copy something head to foot is not inspiration, it is called plagiarism, and it is a lowly and shameful act of those who lack imagination and self-respect.

You said, "Make a better car moron."

To this, I tell you and your team who have stooped too low and indulged in full-fledged plagiarism - "Make your own car, morons."

Karun just showed up today and has already decided his pecking order :D
It’s the usual guessing game. Last year he had a graph he used to compile and the pecking order changed everyday.
I really hope RP is faster then McLaren and Renault, that would so amazing! MR Zak is already complaining and calling them Copy Point, what a bad petty looser he is. Make a better car moron.
Finally, everyone knows that Red Bull is a joke and Max Verstappen is overrated.

After finishing his last day of testing in the car before the season begins, Norris said he was happy with the team’s progress but felt the car was more sensitive to today’s windy conditions than some of his rivals’ machines.

“I’m very happy with things and the progress we’ve made since last week,” said Norris. “But because of other things like the wind, let’s say, it’s been very hard to get a good feeling of what the car’s like. “But at the same time, if this is a race weekend and it’s this windy, then it’s just something you’ve got to deal with. And I think that’s one of the areas we have to work on as a team. Because from what I see, it’s hard to know, the other teams have strengths or less weaknesses in those areas.”

“I’m happy with areas and how it’s improved compared to last year in some areas,” he said. “In some areas it’s not moved on as much as what I would have liked'.

“It’s a bit more stable and consistent through all the laps you do so you’re still pushing and the limit still moves up and you’re driving on that limit so the car’s still going to be sliding and moving around and so on. But the the main thing is an easy way to say it’s just more consistent and nicer to drive.”

In fairness I probably got a bit carried away when I said they'll "fall back quickly". I meant, I feel their development won't be much and they will fall back..at what rate, I don't Know..
I see what you're saying, but some of their advantages are ongoing, it seems to me.

Zak Brown was in the commentary box for a while in testing today and he seemed cool about what RP are doing, even saying it's a good idea especially at this point with a big rule change coming up.
In short,he agrees RP outsmarted them :D :D :D
