Obviously they are cocky. They got last year's mecedes to fight with. I think they will be ahead come Melbourne, but I am really hoping McLaren outdevelops them. Would be annoying to see a copy-cat get 4th.

Pretty similar sectors between Renault and Mclaren in that last RIC lap... I know they may all be saving something still, but we were lagging a lot behind in the slow sections to Renault (S3) and so far it seems that we are improving in that sector

RP will crash and burn if they start to say that they are faster than Ferrari. In modern F1 you cant go from bankrupcy to title contenders in 2 years even though you outsorced last years winnig car.

With teams like RB and AT avoiding the budget cap. Building one car with two teams allows you to double your budget, and this, will become a huge issue

But how will you, if teams have a double budget than you, avoiding budget cap?

The real issue is not RP or Alpha Tauri, the real issue is top team trying to have a deloyal advantage

I don't think they posted representative lap times in any compound other than C2, a clear sign that they are not intent upon posting the fastest times for the sake of showing their full speed.

Regulations will prevent those sort of thing. otherwise the budget cap is pointless

I’m sure you are right and agree with you... But, we were lacking in S3 and it’s good to know we aren’t that behind anymore (even if they weren’t really pushing)

Ferrari would have to make a big chassis mistake to regress compared to last year. Copy of W10 shouldn't be faster than SF1000, but if they made a mistake it could happen.

It will be interesting to see how fast RP can copy the Mercedes. If they developed the software and processes for copying, they may be in process of copying W11. If this happens during the year I would expect that people would see it much more negatively than this one off.

It would be a great time to do it, Ferrari and Renault went out on C5.

Carlos is out of the car with 24 minutes to go... We may not see a time in C5 unluckily... If it get’s windier this afternoon and with a threat of rain, we may not see a faster time from the team in Testing.

But so far, really happy with how testing has gone for the team!
