I would like, once at least, to see a F1 engineer among the participants. It is not easy to understand our problems such as vertices limited propagation, strange rake rotation axis, not orientable suspension arms section, 10mm thickness... I am not sure about the result.

I mean, I am an F1 engineer, just not an Aero engineer

Welcome! It would be nice to battle with you in the (virtual) track, I hope to organise my job in time to develop a new car. By the way, I am an engineer not just a F1 engineer

I entered this year as a new team called Salamander.
Very much looking forward to this new challenge.
My history is in mechanical engineering but I'm hoping to put a good aero package together.

MercuryMotorsport has entered again for the 2020 season, looking forward to another great battle and hope to start this year off without hiccup like last.
I have some ideas for innovation but weather they translate into performance who knows!!

We have a fantastic line-up of teams so far, even one from Austria, I have personally missed. I hope the registrations all transform into submissions. So far, I have not been a very good organizer and added the entries to my spread-sheet. I have only worked from my memory and have just given access to the challenge site to teams, I thought were not previously registered. So if anyone has any problems so far, just let me know. This Friday, I have an important deadline for something very important, so I can hopefully catch up this weekend.

Hi all, I saw this on LinkedIn and thought it sounded like a great project! I'm actually an automotive aerodynamicist, currently quarantined at home so I've got a bit of time to put an entry together. Not sure if I'll be able to do any CFD, so it might be a bit of a shot in the dark, but should be fun nonetheless.

Regarding the engine intake, does it actually need to direct the air anywhere or can it just end after the "Engine IN" monitoring surface?

You can end it right after . Also (just in case) engine_in is a boundary condition so it should be placed in the special_bc folder not monitoring_surfaces

You will recieve an email one week before submission with a dropbox link. The email will contain the exact deadline for submission usually midnight UTC. Details on the actual submission can be found in section 2 of the rules. The calendar on mantiumchallenge.com shows the submission deadlines. Results are published two weeks later.

Quick question. When looking at some old CFD runs, specifically the html results page MFlow generates when post processing. The 'totals' section doesn't actually seem to be the sum of the values below. Is this expected behaviour?

Yes but only the "external" ones.

Are you using the stls from the website? If not, then I would recommend doing so They should be in the right position.
