Support still looking into it, after initially denying there is a problem.

The issue is that when I manually renew the certificate, it's a good one.
When it happens automatically, it's only valid for f1technical.net , not for www.f1technical.net

So every time it's wrong, I need to manually intervene now.
Automatic renewal with the letsencrypt cron scripts? I've not found them 100% reliable myself.

I was unable to access the site from last night until just now due to a security certificate.
This time it was a very long period. I am using firefox.

Only some browsers allow you to still access the site, Chromium for example.

Likewise, I had certificate issues last night. Roughly a week since the last incident.

Yeah, same problem again last night and for a while this morning.

As far as I am aware, the owner knows about the issue and has said they are working on a solution.

Indeed. The system gets the certificate issue sorted automatically, but it takes too long to be acceptable. The site was down again for several hours.

I've now ordered a certificate from another authority, as this letsencrypt automated script seems to be problematic recently. As soon as I have the new one, I'll install it.

The browser doesn't matter. The issue is that the certificate is incorrect for the site. It's a valid certificate, but not valid for www.f1technical.net , due to some auto-renewal issue.

But, as mentioned, a new cert from a different provider should hopefully solve the matter soon.

AFAIK Chrome lets you get through with the extra click in those situations.

same problem since late last night... IE works, but no luck with Chrome
As the sire is using HSTS, there is no button "proceed"
If the website is using HSTS (HTTP Strict Transport Security) this option won’t be available as it means they have implemented an HTTP header which never allows non-HTTPS connections.
PS: right now it works, 2minutes later, that was fast ;)

Same with Opera last night. Firefox allowed me to access the 'evil' site

Did not know which threads and posts I had read though, so waited :D
