Yes, very well job from him.

Besides that, it seems like Ferrari generally has good tyre management.

Turned into a Hamilton masterclass.
But you know... Max was favourite. When will people stop believing Toto?

Pretty dull race overall. Nothing much else to say really.
It was a bit at the front. All done and dusted after the first corner. Lots of interesting stuff behind!

I think they should have been wary and respectful of the RBR pace but ‘favourite’ was a bit of a stretch wasn’t it. Interesting to think how it could have panned out if Max had somehow made it into turn 1 in the lead
I would say Hamilton would have been all over him like a cheap suit.

Please explain this in technical terms or is it just because he has a superior car?

Bottas come second then did he?

Grow up.
Bad start for Bottas or he would have been gone. Where's the masterclass? Or are you going to hide behind the grow up comment?

Wheel spin from the dusty side of the track. Again, cars on the racing line (left side) got the better run. This story has played over and over again and is a downside of standing starts vs. rolling starts as they unfairly penalize one side of the grid.

Granted, it was on Valteri to run Max down, so that's on him.

Ferrari looked good on tires. Though to be fair, it's probably easier to be good on tires when you're already slow.

So much of noise through last week downplaying a car that has been the class of the field for such a long time.
Unfortunately, now that the hopes of the VER/RB have suffered following this race we’ve returned to bashing Merc’s budget/resources, bashing HAM, bashing the death of the sport because of Merc. It’s tiring

He’s a much better chaser than Bottas for sure. Max would have made it very difficult to pass. Could have been an absolute ding dong battle!

My mind boggles as to how pathetic Bottas is!
In that case, why was Bottas renewed instead of promoting the exciting Russell? :wtf: #-o

Fans would like to see a Hamilton - Russell pairing, yet Mercedes refuses it. :?:

Anyway, there was plenty of good close midfield action in this race. I was surprised how close the cars could follow in the mid-pack. =D> :)

Hardly. He couldn’t get near Max. If the car was so much better as you claim he’d have been at least threatening him as it was he never got within two seconds.
So you assume that Hamilton would have been all over Verstappen if he was behind? That's a big assumption for this particular circuit.

Well, Hungary was similar to Barcelona, yet he did that last year.

BTW Nico Rosberg just literally said ‘that was a Hamilton masterclass.’ So there you go. And he’s hardly the guy’s biggest fan.

Tyre management was superb.

And wouldn’t one make that assumption if it is as easy as you claim?

The boxed both Seb and Charles on the same lap with different tyres. They are clearly making sure they score points with one car or what I don't know but it's just not making any sense whatsoever to me.
That is because Leclerc started on softs and Vettel on Mediums
So when they pit even at the same lap they both need different tyres to the ones they already had

I don’t think it’s a big assumption at all.

Part of being the best, is making sure you cross all your Ts and dot all your Is.

In Barcelona one of the most important Ts is making sure you get the start right.

And if you aren't watching the podium ceremony, Nico who was Lewis's biggest competitor just said it was a master class!

Albon was lapped by Max. It looks terrible.

True but I think it’s safe to assume that with a car that was better on its tyres and quicker that Hamilton would be all over him.

Yeah, Albon should go and someone faster should come back, i think Redbull should take Vettel back.

Red Bull also used Albon as a test subject on tires. RB partially put him in that position.
