"This low downforce...circuit"

Comical. Meanwhile all kinds of footage in FP1 showing high downforce rear wings.

Isn't it annoying? That's the point I was trying to make.
I thought those were great pictures!

What's annoying about that? :?:

I guess part of that was the compression at the bottom of the hill?

Do you mean the compression gives a bit more "downforce" on the tyres and thus they can pull higher lateral load briefly? If so, I guess that's the same as Eau Rouge where the turn up the hill gives a bit of extra grip - the crest at Radillon giving the opposite, of course.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

Bit isn't that one of the things we love about F1? Nothing else corners like an F1 car (except maybe a modified ex-LMP1 Porsche...)

Absolutely. Wonder if turn 7 here might be the highest lateral G ever? Albert Park turn 11/12, Pouhon, Maggots, Degner 1 etc. come close probably.

On a side note, Vettel's helmet design this weekend is absolutely lovely.
Agree! Very classical. His helmet designs have been usually very attractive.
Last week's and this- both fantastic. The base design is the nicest one as well. So many of them are too cluttered now.

Anyway, I'm taking this off topic a bit so I'll stop!

Massive anticlimax for me caused by the terrible camera work.

Hamilton way off Bottas, what was he doing in sector 2 running out of revs?

Yeah even the Sky team were complaining about the uninspiring camera placements.

I guess Hamilton is carrying extra fuel? His pace isn't good, I'm sure he'll turn it around tomorrow.

Lando spins and looses his front wing, session stopped !!!!

I think we might see lot of this with full saftey cars, there's hardly anywhere on the circut where you can pull off safely, any stoppages during the race and they will have to recover the car.

Absolutely horrendous, they could have really wowed us this weekend but instead choose to have the cameras zoomed right in on the cars giving us no sense of speed at all.
