Well. To be 3rd best considering Perez will pass them at some point they have to finish 5 and 6.

Anyway. Let's forget about that. What happened happened. Let's have a clear start and score lots of points to start leading for 3rd. Good luck to Mclaren and fingers crossed everyone.

What tyres will NOR and RIC start with tomorrow?

MCL's FP2 runs on mediums seemed better than Ferrari's (if not for their outlier laps) but no data on Alpha Tauri's.
Both starting on Softs :)

Exactly! And if correlation is good... Upgrades will be expected to work too... It is still R1 of 23... A lot of racing left this season...

I feel like they "chickened" out a bit on Q2 to be honest ,especially with Norris. Both AlphaTauris were 0.6s off McLaren's on the first run with medium, but then Gasly went 0.1 ahead of the time Lando set on the mediums on the second run. Lando had a good first lap. I am certain he would have made it to Q3 had they given him another go on the Mediums. But then again, if he had messed up the lap they would have started something like 13th, so it wasn't worth the risk maybe.

Both Ricciardo and Norris are the laughing boys. Look at those photos. I am sure we are gonna have a lot of fan with that combination in terms of out of race silliness.

Team is currently borderline Q2 medium team. They were close to it last year, they were close yesterday. As you said, they might have made it on mediums but it was very risky and as Perez and Tsunoda showed, can bite you in the ass.

Hopefully they make that step forward so we can qualify on better tires.

Team seemed bullish.

Perez is out. Seems that the engine stopped. Is he gonna restart?

Man, that was nail biting. Side by side for most of lap! Good racing, Lando being aggressive which is great to see!
