Hot air exit looks tighter

Hope it's real and not just illusion. Was expecting a smaller outlet, though, after maybe playing it safe at the first race and also because of the temperatures.

Obviously these angles are not conclusive but it certainly looks a lot tighter to me.

This should be the 'standard' spec, while the one in Bahrein is for hot temps

Seems like they’re comparing both versions. After red flags Sainz tested the Bahrain one while Leclerc had the right one.

I don't remember where I read that practice in Imola would be used as a test bed for future updates so this aligns with that. The question is, how would they be able to measure what difference that floor change makes? Wouldn't it be minuscule and require some sort of aero rake or flowviz?

Credit to the W10 for pioneering the shrink-wrapped sidepods. They make the cars look so muscular and shredded. It's also incredible engineering when you compare the S21 sidepods to the SF71 or SF90 ones

They can ran 2 cars with different floors simultaneously on the track and track the data with same ambient conditions. Later verify that in WT.

In FP2, on Leclerc's crashed car I could see the new floor, so maybe they switched floors or they both used the new one.

Ferrari had a huge mix of parts in FP1, floor, rear bodywork (the smaller hot air exits), trimmed vs non-trimmed FW... and they kept going through them.

Can't comment on FP2 cause i wasn't able to watch it.

they have their baseline data from the old floor on the other car and can get downforce data through load sensors in their pushrods and surelythey have some flow sensors to gather some aero
data.
If its worth anything the stopwatch should tell after the driver return with a broad gein visible under the helmet ....if not , back to the think tank ....
