I really don't see how that model floor would be "inadequate" for a track like Barcelona like they say, but let's wait and see.
Maybe it's to test one thing at a time to better understand the data they get.
But in my opinion too it's strange that they don't use the new floor if it really gave better results in Portimao.
The floor has to give more downforce to be better, so I don't understand how a floor that is better in one track is worse in another.
Probably the floor wasn't better, despite the better times got from the drivers who were using it. In fact they didn't use it not even in Portugal and I don't believe the reason was because they had only one, as they said.
