The car is still not back to full dominance. Until the relative lap-time losses compared to last year are similar to rivals then there is still some good investigation to do.
But nobody wants Mercedes to dominate...
Perhaps PlatinumZealot is simply intimidated at the prospect of Lewis having to face Max without a clear car advantage, and that is why he is moaning so much about the rules
His argument about how the lap time deltas should be similar to last season are inherently dumb though, because that doesn’t even begin to take into account Honda’s improvement relative to Mercedes (which is, in my opinion, more influential than the aerodynamic regulation changes).
Nah. Alonso was the hardest opponent. Also I had more fear of Nico than I do of Max. Cant speak for other Lewis/ Mercedes supporters however.
Max is a nice kid and he races fairly. The other two attacked from all angles off the track and on the track. Cereberal assassins they were.
Speaking of cereberal assassins, Jenson Button was known for his politicking and swaying McLaren's strategic calls to his favour. Poor Lewis was young and didn't understand about tyre saving and strategy at that time. That Jenson Button was annoying as hell but I rated him nevertheless.
Prime Vettel was an interesting opponent.. I feared his luck and he had machiavellian way about him. His luck had left him in scorn now but damn Vettel was a lucky bastard. Call it champion's luck or whatever. I guess Lewis has that now.
But yeah.. Max doesn't bring those complications. Nothing to be intimidated about.
