I don't think you can say that Red Bull is a much more dominant overall. It will change from track to track. In THIS race it looked like Red Bull had a slightly faster car though. I wouldn't call it dominant. Maybe 0,2s with apparently better tyre deg which increases that margin as the race goes on. That perhaps makes this race look worse than previous races has shown. Previously Mercedes had better deg, and it might just be that next weekend depending on what they learn.
The largest margin of victory ever in the A1 ring was 13 seconds by Lewis last year
Lewis was 18.9 sec away from Max when he pit for fastest lap
Last year Lewis lapped everyone up to P8, this year Max lapped everyone up to P4. The Red Bull may not be as dominant over the Mercedes as the Merc was over the Red Bull last year, but it's definitely dominating everyone else. Indeed, it was only Hamilton that really had a chance of being close to Max. Bottas was half a lap behind for much of the race.
Max and Lewis are definitely showing why they're top dogs at the moment. I'd love to have seen Norris and Russell in the other two seats today. Now that would have been spicy, wouldn't it?
Also, if RB is dominant, its because Mercedes refuses to work on its car, while Mercedes were dominant no matter how hard teams tried. No complains, if RB is dominant, we'll continue to see in future races, but people need to keep it together, its only 7 races so far, and Mercedes has won 3 of them while RB won only 2 races during 2020.
P.S. clearly some fellows here are trying to change the definition of dominance.
