Not from what I've read vall...
This months edition of F1Racing mag has a feature on painting F1 cars:
a quote from the beginning of the article:
A Renault R29 chassis enters the building as a black carbon fibre shell; it leaves 45 hours later emblazoned in a vibrant mix of white, yellow and orange paint.
45HOURS! Now I'm aware they wouldn't have to worry about the base coat (that's done already) but they'll have to repaint it which is says involves:
+ Masking off areas of car not to be painted yet
+ paint is applied in a room kept at 25degrees celcuis to keep perfect consistently of paint
+ each coat is just 60microns thick and requires 20minutes to dry
+ remove masking tape, and new masking tape to new areas
+ follow same proceedure for next colour coat of paint
+ a coat of "gold pearl"
+ two coats of clear lacquer
+ Then the sponsor stickers
It takes a while to do all that, and I'm sure BrawnGP have much more important things to be doing with their time in the run up to the GP.
