Did i just see a Red Bull mechanic put a gopro in the camera mount on the side of the air intake?
I would have thought they would be using something more sophisticated than a gopro.
There is a beeping sound that is supposed to warn the talking heads to shut up. Ted normally picks up on it when he's talking, but some of the others are too fond of their own voices.Stormblessed wrote: ↑30 Jul 2021, 15:52Its annoying when the sky commentators keep talking among themselves or with another team member right when the driver radio comes on... How is there no coordination between the commentary box and the race director?
If Merc can lock out the front row that would be pretty significant imo. They are the only team to do it this year, and that was way back in Portugal.
a 1-2 finish would be great. No one has a 1-2 yet this season.

Good for Merc, but I want to see Max v Lewis part 2 ( for the whole race, not one lap)
sorry not this timeBig Tea wrote: ↑30 Jul 2021, 16:09Good for Merc, but I want to see Max v Lewis part 2 ( for the whole race, not one lap)
Agreed! Would become a bit boring when one team steals the march on development race. To be fair though, VER is not happy with the setup yet, so still some time to be found by RB and maybe they ran low PU mode than normal.
Sounds like a poorly rebuilt write off to me. ( ) Check the panel seams under the floor carpet.godlameroso wrote: ↑30 Jul 2021, 16:15Verstappen's car alignment issue? Car that understeers then oversteers then understeers, it seems like an alignment issue to me. I'd look at using a little less rear camber first, and then front toe to fine tune the mid corner aero balance. Making the front more toe out(to a point) will increase mid corner understeer, making the front more toe in(to a point) will reduce mid corner understeer.
I don't know what the rear camber specification is this round. In any case that measurement is nearly meaningless in a dynamic sense.
From what I've seen, if you keep the nose down in the corners, you'll be fast in sector two, but slow in sector 1, and possibly sector 3 because it causes the rear end to get light, since you're delaying weight transfer to the rear. It will cause the car to oversteer on heavy braking and mid corner, which while useful for sector 2, it makes the driver work extra hard in sector 1 & 3(slow corners).
Perhaps a different driving style that matches the timing of the suspension may itself balance the car, while it may give up a tenth or two in sectors 1 and 3 more than makes up for it in sector 2.
Sounds like Verstappen is a fine tune away from putting .4 on Mercedes.Big Tea wrote: ↑30 Jul 2021, 16:18Sounds like a poorly rebuilt write off to me. Glad no one from Mercedes thinks Red Bull has added performance, like they did when the PU was introduced by RB. I wouldn't if they did.Big Tea wrote: ↑30 Jul 2021, 16:18Sounds like a poorly rebuilt write off to me.
