I dont know if you refer to the pace, but what worries me more is what it seems to be a higher degradation than other teams.

New to this site, so hello everyone.

For the sake of competition, I hope the gaps are closer to the Mercs :(
It will be, Ferrari is improving as long as they learn more about the new design. I am quite hopeful.

To me I think Pirelli might have done it again. Tire compounds that differ so massively compared to each other that I believe Mercedes might lose it again on race day. Just like in 2013 incredibly fast in qualifying, but I believe the W07 can't work out which tyres it works the best on. At the moment I think they are trying to make the Mediums work. I'm thinking they are ruling out the Softs, SuperSofts and UltraSofts, because they won't hold for more than 3-4 laps before they reach the cliff, so they won't be interesting on race day.

ehh.. no.

all you can say is Manor gained a lot with Mercedes 2016 PU
How much is a Lot?
Scenario 1: Let's assume 1 second gain. That means, Mercedes 2016 PU is around 100HP more powerful than 2015 Ferrari PU? That is what it equates to. 2 Seconds means 200HP more and so on.
Scenario 2: If Manor was having the Mercedes 2015 PU last year, would Manor 2015 be faster by a second at Abu Dhabi (instead of 6 seconds, let's say the difference was 5 seconds)? Let's assume that was true and for that to be true, Ferrari 2015 PU was down by 100 HP to Mercedes 2015.
Manor Comes to Barcelona testing this year, with 5 seconds deficit (with above assumption). Even to retain just 5 seconds deficit with new PUs (both now have new PUs), Manor should have developed the chassis, equal to Mercedes. Would it be so? If you agree all of this is working in Manor's favor, then I am ready to believe that Mercedes cannot be faster than Manor by 6 seconds.

FERRARI HOPING TO CHALLENGE MERCEDES WITH 30HP BOOST FROM NEW DEVELOPMENT ENGINE
It will be interesting to see how much closer the new Ferrari power unit brings them to the Mercedes cars. The gap in qualifying has been around 7/10ths of a second and there should be around 3/10ths in the power unit upgrade, if the indiscretions on the extent of the update are accurate. The gap in races, however has been less (apart from Spain, where Ferrari struggled with the tyres)
