Williams could offload the gearbox from AMRH, and I dont see the facilities being the problem as they are already operational.ME4ME wrote: ↑07 Apr 2024, 16:47Aston Martin is in the progress of obtaining the tools, resources and manpower to start engineering and manufacturing their own gearboxes from 2026 onward. I doubt they have the resources initially to supply and support further teams.
Also RB runs Red Bulls previous-year specification. 2026 will be the first spec of those regulations so Williams would need to immediately be on the up to date spec. It won't be realistic for Aston Martin to handle that situation I think.
Also I'm not sure what the benefit would be for Williams going with Aston Martin/Honda over Mercedes.

If you read the original green notebook from Saward it's extremely speculative and has been taken by these repost sites as something more than that. Saward writes this sort of wild speculation all the time and very little materializesVanja #66 wrote: ↑24 Apr 2024, 09:50According to Joe Saward, there's every chance we could see Antonelli replace Sargeant in Williams already in Imola

No doubt, but it is a provocative idea, so wanted to share in any case
They were but they sold it to finance themselves thanks to the era around the pandemic. I think they sold to Fortescue Metals.Waz wrote: ↑24 Apr 2024, 14:17I thought Williams were one of the first to have a division like thatMoctecus wrote: ↑11 Apr 2024, 15:35Williams press release officially launching Williams Grand Prix Technologies.Moctecus wrote: ↑02 Feb 2024, 16:38Maybe it's nothing, but there's a chance Williams might be working on an Advanced Engineering / Applied Technologies division.

However, he said that the talks were "preliminary" and superficial.
He expects them to meet again
He can only hope, what a mess. Inherited a solid car that was better than the rivals and stopped development early to focus on this year car. The car under him is easily the slowest car now Alpine have upgraded their chassis.organic wrote: ↑03 May 2024, 18:00https://x.com/KemalSengulll/status/1786421945967292732James Vowles has confirmed that Williams is in talks with Adrian Newey.

I don’t think it’s time to judge him yet- pretty sure in the off season James had said they’d taken some decisions that may not demonstrate progress in the immediate term, but that would be the best in the long term. Can’t remember what it was he was referring to but may have been the facilities etc- Williams IMHO is a real sleeper project - they can surprise everyone in a few seasons.McMika98 wrote: ↑06 May 2024, 10:11He can only hope, what a mess. Deja Vu another Merc saviour who wants to turn the place upside down but then fails to deliver the one thing that matters. Capito was unfairly sacked compared to Vowles who comes up with excuses after excuses with nothing to show.
I thought Capito retired? Am I thinking of someone else then?McMika98 wrote: ↑06 May 2024, 10:11He can only hope, what a mess.
