naaa they did do a low fuel run on the softs, and went a tiny tiny bit slower than there time on the primes.Confused_Andy wrote:Yeah McLaren focused on long runs with the soft tyres, the primes were used for short stints which set the laptimes, so we're still to see McLaren's true qualifying pace.
Both cars hit traffic on their first couple of laps I think, this definitely happened to Hamilton (I think it was a Lotus that was in his way).ell66 wrote:naaa they did do a low fuel run on the softs, and went a tiny tiny bit slower than there time on the primes.Confused_Andy wrote:Yeah McLaren focused on long runs with the soft tyres, the primes were used for short stints which set the laptimes, so we're still to see McLaren's true qualifying pace.
i think this was due to traffic, circuit not rubbered in as much as it was later in the session and the drivers not quite hooking the lap up.
i never noticed he was used options as i figured it was his first run onte softer tyre all day. did jenson do the same?WhiteBlue wrote:When Hamilton used soft tyres they were not new but used. They have not given it a serious try to go really quick. My feeling is they will use the flat wing without F-duct we saw on Hamilton's car today. It had half the wing angle that Button ran.
its hardly a suprise considering there wing levels, have you seen there front wing? lol its tiny.Intego wrote: Did you see that? Virgins on top of speed trap! =D>
Yes, I know. In an interview Glock said the car was hardly driveable plus they had changed to a long gear ratio which they have to reverse.ell66 wrote:its hardly a suprise considering there wing levels, have you seen there front wing? lol its tiny.Intego wrote: Did you see that? from the onboard footage with glock you could see just how nervous the car was.
