New engine for Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez in Baku. Same spec, their first change of the season.

Pérez previously switched the turbo and MGU-H. Verstappen still nothing at all, except replacement exhaust at the end of April.

So while yes they did suffer those race ending issues early on, they are actually doing better on the PU front than is Ferrari?

Why is Max getting substandard elements on his car and it's almost never that Checo has any of those problems. Australia, Spain and now here. Have they forgotten who the No.2 is?

That is completely and utterly false.

The reason checo had a new turbo and mgu is because they broke. Same exact spec to the ones verstappen has.
Please don’t tell me you actually believe anything jos has said

I assumed this was satire? If not, and the internet and a technical forum isn't really a place for that, calm down.

He was talking about the rear wing.

Ryar, I expect Max his wing is closer to a limit, for performance purpose.

In FP2 the wing was more stable.

They're listed in the official doc so they're in the car, no?

Could be. Probably to check everything works as it should and no nasty surprises on saturday.

Helmut Marko confirmed that they used the new PU's today .
Max had a few minor problems in FP1 but they were solved before FP2.

Nice points haul for RB. Some bad luck for Perez with the pitstops. Didn't really matter in the end, Perez just lacked a bit of pace compared to Verstappen. It also seemed Perez was that little bit harder on the tires than Verstappen, even though he had clear air and Verstappen didn't. Basically nothing changed since first race this season in that regard.

I think Perez took a bit more out of them on the initial laps to get Charles out of the DRS and the larger tow area. Good call really.

Looking at what could have happened if Lec didnt retire, and given the VSC caused by Magnusson, then it would have been interesting to see Fresh Meds on the Ferrari and Fresh hard on the Bulls. Ric showed the Medium didnt really have the pace to fully close in. Although given the Alpine was lightening quick on the straight.

Pleased with the points haul this weekend. Put good gap between RB and Fer in the WCC (80points) and Checo moves up to second with a little gap to charles.

great results for the Honda powered cars unfortunate for yuki opportunities like these dont come easily for a midfield team.Ferrari knew they could not match straight-line speed of Rbr so they turned up their pu up to eleven and are now have to leave with the results.

Binotto on sky italy said they were planning to go to the end with Charles on the hards rather than fresh mediums I think

Mediums seemed weaker than expected in general with ricciardo not making too much of an impression late on despite putting fresh meds on when others had old hards

Either way it would've been an exciting end to the race without Leclerc's DNF I think. Shame we didn't see it play out
