The first rule of being an F1 fan is that all new tracks are terrible and boring.
Istanbul was also a new track, but that was a rather awesome track both for fans and for the drivers.
I agree, but people on the internet complained that it was going to be boring. No complaining after the first race though :D

My comment was more of an observation that people are negative about new things and ideas. But also the internet feeds this because you are more likely to post if you have a negative opinion than a positive opinion, so negativity pervades (see twitter for a perfect example).

It’s a natural thing. People don’t like change per default.

I hope not. It has all the bad traits of a street circuit.

This is the one I saw... should be lots of passing, you can put like 4 DRS zones in that sucker. #-o

Long straights, lots of overtakes expected? and a fast S style corner section. Not bad.

If the straights are wide enough (such as the one at Baku), this will be the most-overtakes GP of the year.

Seeing it now. It does looks boring despite my intentions to defend it... It's just too many Tilke korners. I am not swayed by the esses, yeah esses are good for dirvers, but not necessarily for racing.

What saved Baku was the course was on a naturally hilly area and the right angle corners are wide enough for three cars to fit so you had cause for costly mistakes into the barriers. And the giant straight has a super speedway feel to it.

For this one.. Again looks boring but I may reserve judgement until the first race.

With drivers like KMag on the track, it's a massive shunt waiting to happen on these kind of tracks. We've all seen what Gasly experienced in Baku twice!

I guarantee there'll be a chicane added to that straight and balls it up. There's no way they can have such a long straight with that little run off at the end of it.
