Sources say that each driver feels happiest with what he ran and they have decided to stick with it
Strange. As far as I know Button didn't try the Monza spec low drag wing, only ran with the f - duct config. That makes Lewis the only driver to try both configs.

Then how does Button say he's happy ? He's only tried the f-duct config !

Just got here... scanned the top speeds.... why was Bruno 100km/h slower than everyone else with over 20 laps?(!)

100 is a lot, even for HRT.

Sounds like you scanned an incorrect page.
According to formula1.com, he put down 8 laps in FP1 clocking 317,4km/h top, and a further 3 (incomplete) laps in FP2 clocking in 232,9km/h (and thus set no time in FP2).

No it was the right page, I just misread it. I thought the "no" column was the lap the speed was clocked, but it was actually the drivers number for the season.

Both cars seem to be pretty equal with Hamilton slightly faster which is the norm. If I was driving I would have gone with the high df & fduct as the extra downforce will be much easier on the tyres over the race distance.

As has been quoted earlier in the thread Andy Stobart the Bridgestone engineer says high d/f puts more loading through the tyres so they actually wear more. With this being the case Id go low as the run to the start is long and if button looses a position there he has had it with regards to passing cars!

It puts more load through the tyre of course, the wear is less as the tyre does not move around as much, much less sliding around etc...

According to BBC, MW tipping Vettel will be on the front row. SV running a new engine, MW is not.

Plenty of flow viz again today, new beam wing fitted overnight.

Looking at FP2 particularly yesterday, Macca were sandbagging. They did not appear to run a quali test as the fastest times set were on quite long runs.

Yes, according to gpupdate.net. He was using an old engine and SV a new one.

Sure, but to be honest I'd rather Vettel, Button and Alonso get the points in order to keep the fight for the title alive!
