True. The IR camera is publicly a novelty feeding the community here with new information which we'll see further analysed. Expect next year to have more on this as we'll see it more widespread over the grid.

Occam's razor. It's quite clearly getting hot because of scrapping. The question is, do we see this on other cars with the IR camera fitted?

Other cars with IR camera don't have a view on the splitter. I believe Massa had one fitted with a rearwards view, in Singapore, so if we could get his footage in the future and other cars are close behind him, we might get a good view on that.

Did they run these in the race as well? Looks to me like a test for 2014, trying to overcome the additional 7.5cm toward the outside of the tire.

Yes they used them in Korea & I'm pretty sure they were used yesterday as well

I did mention in the article that I wasn't sure how it worked and that I was probably wrong. The illustration doesn't have to be to the nth degree of accuracy, it's only a basic drawing to help people understand what is potentially happening. And how does drawing something incorrectly completely write off the rest of the article? It was an opinion, not a fact.

I have recently posted more on this subject, and that may be incorrect too. I come on this forum to learn. Debate is part and parcel of this forum, I accept that. Please share with us your own explanations rather than just a picture of the wing...

What does Horner mean when he said to Brundle before the race 'our Kers is housed inside the gearbox' ? I thought only the betteries are placed around the G-box.

The RBR topped/equalled the best in every top speed ranking in Suzuka.
The comparison picture shows Webbers car. I believe Webber had opted for a lower downforce rear wing and Vettel had used the desginated rear wing. Can we have a comparison pic with Vettels rear wing?

Indeed, Vettel ran a different RW but the difference is not that big. Still a slimmer RW than the others. VET's top speed was still amongst the best in Suzuka

And, also, the DRS flap of Vettel was a little bigger than Webber. The main profile has much camber (different end plate too). They have the same in Corea:
