& so the movie car is in fact, a 'common, or garden' Sunbeam Alpine, with a mere 4cyl mill..

Ok, for a styling reference comparison, here's a mid-50's Ford Thunderbird, albeit a mild custom effort.
( & maybe looking a bit like a 'boy wonder-mobile' - side-kick to the original TV show 'Batmobile'*).



*Which was itself, originally the (& then, George Barris mildly customised) 1955 Lincoln 'Futura' concept car.
