Maybe its just a trick from Mercedes to put Nico under pressure regarding the contract negotiations? But no, that cannot happen to Nico right? Stuff like this only happens to Lewis.
I always appreciate it that people always use English on this forum, despite it not being the mother tongue for many contributers, it makes me feel quite lazy in some ways.

Whenever there was an issue with the car, Mercedes have come out quick and explained the problem. But this time, there hasn't been any statement, makes it safe to assume there was no issue with the car. It's been quite a while after the race and sufficient time to have done the analysis and make a media statement.

Did they gave excuses for Austria 2015 for Lewis? He couldn't get his setup right and couldn't be as fast as Nico in race, though he luckily nailed pole, which was also looking impossible. It was Lewis who lost pace from Singapore onwards in 2015, did Mercedes came back giving excuses for his lack of pace? Theories were flouted that he has lost his focus and he himself said, there was some issue with suspension changes after Singapore, but Mercedes didn't made any excuses about his lack of pace and neither was there any technical clarifications from them. He isn't a holy soul for them to be covering up his mistakes by their clarifications. When they didn't understood what struck to them in Singapore, they were honest in admitting they don't know what it was.
Importantly, they always give technical clarification (how believable they are, I don't know) for any car issues that hampers a driver.

Okay so when Lewis underperforms, it's related to his setup. And when Nico underperforms, he is a bad driver?

Your statement regarding Nico's performance in Monaco.

So apparently, by your standards of judgment, regarding Austria and Singapore 2015, Lewis is someone who has no clue how to hold the steering wheel in the dry.

I think it swings between the two when they make changes on the car with updates. We have seen that they are incredibly closely matched almost all the time, yet when there are updates or changes to the car that may not be neutral, it benefits one of them slightly more than the other.

Mercedes tried a different set up to try to catch RedBull. Nico said that he just didn't feel confident in the car after that. At this level, driver confidence/comfort is more important than the last % of downforce or engine power. On a wet Monaco it's especially important. Let's all remember that these guys trade in tenths of a second. Half a second is a life time in F1 but it's actually a blink of the eye. Those are the tiny margins we're talking about here.

Remember Hamilton saying he was not comfortable/confident with the brakes when he went to Mercedes? How much did he improve when he sorted it? Same thing.

This. This sentence is absolutely indigestible by Hamilton fans. And this is the only reason why bashing always starts in every thread where these two drivers are talked about together.

What is indigestible to Rosberg fans is that although they are closely matched, Hamilton is marginally better. That's when the butt hurt starts...

Let me teach you how to argue. Tell me a half decent performance of Nico in wet where he went on to win, that you can use to deny my statement that Nico is a bad driver in wet and I can tell you numerous performances of Lewis' to say why he is a great driver in dry, to answer you question.

I am not denying Lewis is a great driver. I have never said such a thing. He is better than Nico, and Alonso, and many others (You feel okay now?). Just applying your logic (which is by far the most ridiculous way of judging someone) to different situations...

You are running away from the argument that you started. You still haven't provided a race where Nico excelled in wet, that would prove my statement wrong that Nico is a bad driver in wet. Stay on the point.

I never said Nico is a great driver in wet conditions, or did I? Lol I have not even said he is better than Lewis in the dry (I believe this is the point we are arguing over). What I don't get is "Nico is a mediocre driver", "doesn't deserve to be in Formula 1" and statements like these. I like Lewis (I like Nico more) since he joined Mercedes. Rooting for Nico doesn't mean Lewis hater (if you think like this, your fault). Its your fault that when anyone tries to say something in favour of Nico, you ultimately take it as Lewis bashing. If driving in the wet is the scale of judging someone's driving ability, how do you rate Fernando Alonso and Sergio Perez? (Malaysia 2012) Perez is better than Alonso because he was chasing Alonso at a rate of knots?

I am not a native English speaker so pardon me if you don't understand something.

Let me make this clear. I made a statement that Nico is a bad driver in wet and you used Austria 2015 to question me, if Lewis is a bad driver because he was slower than Nico in that dry race. My argument is, when there are so many great performance in dry, struggling in one race doesn't mean the driver is a bad driver in those conditions. But if a driver has always struggled in wet, it then constitutes that, the driver is indeed bad in those conditions, because there is not a single performance in those conditions (wet here) to prove the argument wrong.

I started watching Formula 1 from mid of 2010 so can't say anything about Nico's performances prior to that and my memory is not that great either. Right now, I can think of Spa 2014, pole in the wet, and Silverstone 2014, again pole in the wet (or changing conditions). I can look up for more examples and let you know.
