"Quindi bisogna farlo lasciarlo passare..veramente siete degli scemi eh..mamma mia ragazzi..
Please don't spread false information, he said geni, not scemi, he never insulted the team, he was sarcastic about the fact that the team got the timing wrong.
Surely there is no difference between sarcastic "genius" or honest "idot"? Both of them are insulting, both convey the same message of frustration, both blame the team.
And therefore we assume that you are willing to lie or you accept a lie if the lie represents your own vision of the reality?

Here´s the rule as written in the sporting regs,
28.6 d

At each Event seals may be broken once, under supervision and at any time prior to the
second day of practice, for the sole purpose of changing gear ratios and dog rings
(excluding final drives or reduction gears). Competitors must inform the FIA technical
delegate which ratios they intend to fit no later than two hours after the end of P2.
However, one additional change of ratios and dog rings will be permitted if a gearbox
change is necessary on the first day of practice before the end of P2.
Gear ratios and dog rings (excluding final drives or reduction gears) may also be
changed under supervision for others of identical specification at any time during an
Event provided the FIA technical delegate is satisfied there is evident physical damage
to the parts in question and that such changes are not being carried out on a systematic
basis

And for Massa replacing engine...bit strange.
The engine of car number 4 has been replaced with the approval of the FIA technical delegate following a
written request from the team concerned for a previously used one and this being in accordance with
Article 34.1 of the 2013 Formula One Sporting Regulations.
Not sure where it says you can replace an engine in article 34.1
34.1

Every team must provide the FIA technical delegate with a suspension set-up sheet for both of
their cars before each of them leaves the pit lane for the first time during the qualifying
practice session.
28.4 e

If an engine is changed in accordance with Article 34.1 the engine which was replaced
may not be used during any future qualifying session or race with the exception of the
last Event of the Championship

So really the gears were replaced after qualifying? if so shouldn't that carry a penalty or at least start from pit lane for Vettel, Webber and Massa?

Unless I'm mistaken of course.

34.1 must be some mysterious, all encompassing 'do whatever you like' regulation haha

I thought this would class as changing the gearbox, because they broke the seal. Engine change for Massa is probably because they want to move Alonso up one place.

It's like everything is conspiring to move Hamilton, Kimi and Grosjean up the grid. Really wish Vettel and Webber had 5 place grid penalties now.

Why would they get a penalty? It was all legal and monitored by the fia.

Then you have a perfect explanation for how Massa was allowed to change an engine under a regulation that mentions nothing but suspension setup sheet?
The engine of car number 4 has been replaced with the approval of the FIA technical delegate following a
written request from the team concerned for a previously used one and this being in accordance with
Article 34.1 of the 2013 Formula One Sporting Regulations.

There is only 34.1, no a b c d e stuff.
