OOOF!! hmm.. something is going on with that Ferrari.
Yeah Vettel cannot be THAT Much slower!
He was last year vs LEC, why couldn't he be this year. LEC is clearly the faster and better driver.

Good for Bottas. Deserved that after his cruel luck last weekend.

I think Vettel is now feeling what being second driver at a team is for the first time in his career. The other guy gets all the best stuff.
True. Now consider this.

Vettel goes to RP and they get 1 new front wing for a random racing weekend.
Who gets it? Vettel or the bosses son?

Second week - Hulk already clearly faster than Stroll. And it didn’t surprise me even a bit.

Like I told last week already, I rate him higher than both Stroll and Perez. One of the most underrated drivers in my opinion.
Faster does not always mean better, hulk is mistake and crash prone, throwing away multiple opportunities for podiums, possibly even a win (brazil 12). Perez is a better driver because he brings it home on Sunday and has multiple podiums while teammates with Hulk, and also scored more points if I remember correctly.

Apparently, Stroll doesnt have that kind of power in regards to his son. He might have had it, but with the big guns and sponsorship coming in, that’s doubtful.
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

I was a genuine question. I would of assumed he would have a say but I’m not sure.

I’d assume the only fair way would be to have two parts. If one brakes it, he gets to use an older spec, unless there are other considerations, like WDC or WCC to consider. Either way, the team should try to be at its best and not sabotage themselves to promote an individual driver.

True but it’s has happened more than once that a team have only got 1 new spec part ready. It normally goes to the #1 driver.

When the team has money issues or limited by supply, sure... but then it should go to the quicker driver or better driver in the standings. Either way, it’s unlogical to assume a team would sabotage themselves. If Stroll Jr. is quick enough to deserve that on merit, why not?

The team always comes first.

There may be performance clauses in Baby Stroll's contract that allow the team to give him the heave-ho even if Daddy Stroll doesn't want to. Indeed, I'd be amazed if, having stumped a shed load of money, Daddy Stroll hasn't said to Baby Stroll "perform or be replaced, son".

Daddy stroll is doing this to live vicariously through his son. Can't see him ever giving his son the short end of the stick but for critical circumstances

I’m pretty sure this has happened to RedBull and Ferrari in the recent past so it’s not always about a lack of funds.

It’s going to be an interesting one to watch.

What happens about Max though? He is starting on hard tires. So he will do the first one but in reverse?

One thing I think today has confirmed is that Perez’s days are numbered. If Hulkenberg can come into the team completely cold and do that then why couldn’t Perez get more out of it.

I know it’s not as simple as that but if RP are seriously thinking of replacing Perez today may just be the final nail.

I guess he'll do a reverse of one of the top two.

It depends on what he’s got left? Teams may well be analysing the hell out of their oppositions running in every session so far due to how tyre critical everyone seems to be.
