Wow I shuddered seeing that safety cell. That was really close. Romain was very very lucky. He was lucky to stay conscious after the impact, conscious after inhaling all that smoke, and that he wasn't too badly injured that he was able to get out under his own power.Cuky wrote: ↑29 Nov 2020, 16:57Well, the survival cell thankfully did its job as designed

A good time for ROmain to leave then, can only have 1 of those lives left nowEl Scorchio wrote: ↑29 Nov 2020, 17:07HANS device probably also save him from skull/brain injury as well?
You could probably list several safety developments that directly combined and saved him from several potential fatal injuries

It’s incredible he retained consciousness and could exit the car so quickly. It’s bizarre, like a miracle.El Scorchio wrote: ↑29 Nov 2020, 17:07HANS device probably also save him from skull/brain injury as well?

Looks like it. Probably a better thing there, to be honest. The impact structures will prefer a nice solid structure to work against.
Maybe a full review of these barriers at the end of the season.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑29 Nov 2020, 17:16Looks like it. Probably a better thing there, to be honest. The impact structures will prefer a nice solid structure to work against.
