Vettel era you say?

Please.... Where you at Vettel? :)

4 mistakes in Q1, angry at the person bringing him the sector times, beaten by Webber. Hmm :)

Wow. McLaren dominated qualifying. I did not see that coming. Anyways. Should be a cracking race. This is Lewis' chance to assert himself over Button early on in the season.

Webber always said he didnt like the blown diffuser lark. Now its gone, he is a match for vettel again. The German will have to fight for it this year, and to be honest, I dont think he's got it in him. I have Vettel down as a Damon Hill. In the fastest car, he can be untouchable, In the pack, he struggles to shine.

Lewis, Jenson, Alonso are fighters in a half decent car. So when any of them get a very good car, they will always be winning races.

My oh my... Now that very much begs the question, "was it Red Bull's special overrun settings for the quali, or Vettel doing the job ?". Gotta hand it to Ringo. He's been proven right so far. And to n smikle too, he pretty much nailed what Grosjean was capable of. Someone was asking whether Grosjean was going to look stoned and ever smiling in all his interviews or not. I think the guy has just proven why.

So Red Bull are now 7/10ths off the pace and Ferrari look like they're maybe another second off of them. The Australian GP is a poor indicator of pace due to the unique layout and surface, but if anything like that pace is carried over into the next race then it's going to seem like a very very long season for those teams.

But well done to all the teams, it's great to see some real competition up front with some new teams getting themselves in the mix. McLaren look very fast but I don't think it's going to be a walk in the park for them. The Mercedes and Lotus will run them close in the race and keep them honest.

Will be good to see how Vettel fairs when he's back in the pack and having to really work for every point. This could be a make or break year for his reputation - just how much of his performance last year was down to the car and tyres naturally suiting him? Looks like Webber will be giving him a proper test this year as well. Webber beat Vettel despite not having KERS in that last run (according to Sky commentary).

Re: Mercedes AMG F1 W03

So, where are those who kept denying W03 pace :-) Had Rosberg not committed a mistake, it would have been very clear that, RB is behind Merc. Unbelievable progress. :-) No doubt, now Christian Horner starts screaming foul about Merc Wing. =D> =D> =D>

Oh yeah, now people say, this is one off circuit, we need to wait until fly away races are over... blah... blah.... blah.
