even the harshest Lewis critics will acknowledge that lap was on of the best ever from him....and that too on a ferrari and redbull track.

On par with Schumacher Pole in 1996 Monaco and Senna Pole in 1989 =D>

Hamilton had really good lap, no question, deserved pole. However it is not a true reflection of pace. Vettel's both laps were downright bad with lockups galore. He did get purple S1 but it went south from there on.

Things will look increasingly bleak for Seb if Lewis gets another 10 points over him tomorrow.

In Q3 Merc needed only a slow outlap - Ferrari needed a fast one, so it would seem (relatively speaking) that Ferrari has trouble putting heat into the tyres. Also in Q2, Merc could do two flying laps on the hypers - Ferrari just one. Judging by these factors, compared to Red Bull and Merc, Ferrari would seem to be more susceptible to blistering.

A great lap from Max, just 3 tenths from Lewis and beat the Ferraris....equally epic lap

yeah really baffled by Ferrari's pace
Did they change the setup to reduce their tyre wear from FP3 to Qualy?

I dont think ferrari has trouble putting heat into the tyres. Its probably the other perspective, Mercedes has trouble overheating them so they go as slow as possible.
What has changed for them this year is that the Hypersoft is introduced. It doesn't seem hard to get on top off and understand. It takes less molly coddling to get into the right temperature range. I believe had the tyres been ultra softs Mercedes would be in trouble.

As for Hamilton's lap, he has at least one of those epic laps each year, where he has like a 7 tenths or 1 second gap to P2 on the same run. If someone had the time to put the highlights together, we would see its kinda a common thing from him.

This kind of performance is the difference between a WDC and 2nd place. Still a lot of racing to do tomorrow. Tires tires tires.

Well I see a lot guys are well chuffed today, but the race is tomorrow and may I remind you what happened last year with Max 2nd on the grid 8) ( Although it was mostly the Ferraris' fault)

How does that affect which tracks are predicted to suit Ferrari or Mercedes in the remains races?

No words.
No way.
Absolutely fantastic.
I mean, maybe we can consider Hamilton on the same level of Senna and Schumacher.
And i feel so lucky by living in the same age of this guy.
Even seen him on track,in the Italian Grand Prix.
No words.

Lewis P1 and Max P2. It's gonna be really interesting to see whether tomorrow Lewis decides to cover off Max at the start and whether Ferrari will gain something from that. It's gonna be one hell of a race start tomorrow.
