Asimmetric body in FP3? I'm pretty sure of that for FP3 (note flow vis) but not sure for qualifying...

No mention of new floor diffuser, but here's F1.com analysis of some F138 updates in Singapore.

It is just that they were trying different solutions on each car at different times. Photos were taken at differing times, so no question of asymmetry.

No, the photos were taken at the same times, at the start of FP3, when Alonso has run with flow-vis on left side of floor:

left side without bulge: http://formula1.com/wi/enlarge/sutton/2 ... 21se16.jpg

I can't confirm if this solution was here in the qualifying too, but i'm pretty sure that it was here in FP3
So, if Ferrari has used it in qualy, we should see it in race tomorrow!

EDIT:
Now i can confirm! Both cars with asimmetrical body! Emmepi "Eagle eye" 27

Well blow me away and slap me silly!!! Now why would they do that ?????

Would they be trying to get more traction on one wheel than another to get better left/right balance in some specific corners ?

Maybe 1 side gives them higher downforce but less stability so they're trying to get a blend ?

It hasn't gone unnoticed that Ferrari moved to the Sauber type exhaust a while back but that Sauber has recently moved away from that and move to the RBR over under exhaust.Where they use scoop like bodywork to grab some of the air going around the outside of the body to suck more heat out and energize the air under the engine cover and feed the diffuser.

Is it possible that the ENGINE cannot handle an RB style exhaust?
Or is it just a matter of Ferrari proud?

ideally they could use this year's car as test bed for updates coming out of new wind tunnel. this must give them enough time to get ready for 2014 car's updates
