Great race by for Lotus, Kimi finishing in front of Vettel and Fernando definitely helps. Vettel had a taste of what's in store for him if Raikkonen joins RB.
The penalty for Grosjean was a joke.
Except sadly failing to qualify well, again and I say that as a fan of his. Let's hope he was right and they can make some adjustments to suit the tyres a bit better for him as well as they seem to for Grosjean.Rikhart wrote:--- masterclass by Raikkonen, again.
This happend because they stopped too late. They should have stopped one lap or even two before Ham did. Even Mercedes missed the window, but Hamilton was able to overtake Button very fast and therefore didn't get any problems.WhiteBlue wrote:Vettel lost the race because his Red Bull over heated behind Button. LoL, quote of the day. Seems like you have to eat your words there.iotar__ wrote:All the drama about another fake and meaningless Merc pole. "Best qualifying car". There's no such thing as "qualifying car". There are good qualifying results that mean little after bad races. Good thing that after ten laps nobody will remember....
That rule only applies after qualifying.tok-tokkie wrote:Kimi - what happens about fuel for the test?
Someone (Hamilton?) was disqualified a while back because he had insufficient fuel at the end. Was that during the refueling days?
Eh? He lost the race because his RB is miles slower in a straight line, which around Hungary means a long wait to overtake.WhiteBlue wrote:Vettel lost the race because his Red Bull over heated behind Button. He lost a lot of time because The Red Bull cannot stand the heat as well as other cars.
Ah! Thanks. I was confused because it happened in one of the previous 2 races as well 7 nothing happened.Ral wrote:That rule only applies after qualifying.tok-tokkie wrote:Kimi - what happens about fuel for the test?

Actually they still need enough fuel in the car for a sample after the race, they just don't have to get to the pits under own power like in qualifying.Ral wrote:That rule only applies after qualifying.tok-tokkie wrote:Kimi - what happens about fuel for the test?

it was engine temperature not kers.WhiteBlue wrote:. It was quite obviously the failing KERS that could not stand the heat.
Seems to me Kimi got a taste from Seb in Germany ...but roles reversed this race, but if Seb never had overheating KERS and a suspect fron wing he would have been in a better position o take Kimi..stefan_ wrote:Great race by for Lotus, Kimi finishing in front of Vettel and Fernando definitely helps.
