Very arguable. Button's quite good.

Geoff Willis has to be smiling right now
Simon: Nils? You can close in now. Nils?
John McClane: [on the guard's phone] Attention! Attention! Nils is dead! I repeat, Nils is dead, ----head. So's his pal, and those four guys from the East German All-Stars, your boys at the bank? They're gonna be a little late.
Simon: [on the phone] John... in the back of the truck you're driving, there's $13 billon dollars worth in gold bullion. I wonder would a deal be out of the question?
John McClane: [on the phone] Yeah, I got a deal for you. Come out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass.

You call Ferrari's design decent? Seeing how they have won 2 of this seasons 3 race ?
He meant 'copy' not like taking Ferrari's blueprints, I suppose
I know, read the last paragraph I wrote.

Start afresh, using concepts they know work.
Not unless they know what not to do!

I'm guessing "mr management" Nick Fry forced them to move on and design the car without understanding the issues of the old one.

They would have been safer just using the 2005 car the following year until they did understand how it worked!

I've heard rumors from people at Honda that Fry is making the design department copy one of the current cars aero packages, don;t want to say which, to debut in Canada! Its being dubbed as the Frycar and is being done from photos taken at the first test when they knew straight away they had ballsed up!

Mark my words ;)

There in lies the problem. Nick Fry.
I guess that he and Geoff Willis did not get on and that what's caused all this. Add in the pressure coming from Honda. Chaos.
It's time they sacked him.

Nick Fry is NOT the problem.

Japan is ;)

The British based brakley team, ie BAR are wanting this one way ( the right way ) and the n00bs at Japan are wanted things done another way, design and managment.

Nick Fry is fine, dont forget he was Richards right hand man ;) Nick knows what he's doing. But it seems the 'Honda' department are letting the engineers at Brakley down.

That he was DR's right hand man does not mean he knows what he is doing.
DR ran the team not Nick.
Long experience has taught me this about the status of mankind with regards to matters requiring thought. The less people know and understand about them, the more positively they attempt to argue concerning them; while on the other hand, to know and understand a multitude of things renders men cautious in passing judgement upon anything new. - Galileo..

Very true.

And sacking JW was really suicidal, [doubt=huge]unless they already reached some secret agreement with Ross.[/doubt]

Nick Fry is part of the problem, pressure meant either him or Willis needed to take the fall. It was Willis who discovered the wind tunnel flaws, and worked long hours to produce parts last year. Although the lead time meant that these parts did not go onto the car until after he was sacked. When they went on the car they won that race last year. Big problems in Honda, due to the Honda 'everyones ideas are worth the same' philosphy and the Fry situation!

Sacking Fry wont help.

Becuase he will be replaced by some Japanese dude who has no clue.

Which will all be deja vu, no ?

Has that guy ho replaced Willis even designed an F1 car before ?

edit - last time i looked F1 cars had 4 wheels not two... ;)

Indeed!
Financially able, just not mechanically :P!
I would LOVE to see what the Spyker (old Jordan guys) could do with a budget like Toyotas.
