Ferrari are going through a staged process like McLaren. But the word is...whisper it...the car isnt all there at the moment.
Thanks for the heads up!JohnsonsEvilTwin wrote:Her name is Kate Walker @F1Kate.
I really don't know why they are still running last years front wing. The thing is a special for fixing the EBD/Cosworth woes, and I can't see how it's appropriate to this set of rules. Get rid of that swept leading edge Williams, you don't need it any more.JohnsonsEvilTwin wrote:Williams wobbling in these corners....
Sauber tend to set some blistering lap times toward the end of testing. The retreat to midfield in the races.horse wrote:TBH, how many times have we seen little teams pull out some great lap times in testing and then be not all that great when the season starts? Even the big teams, if you recall Ferrari's dominance of testing last year, can show false pace.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/16940933So how much does a fastest time over one of these four days mean then? Well if we cast our minds back 12 months, the fastest man on day one of testing at Jerez was Felipe Massa. The next day it was Michael Schumacher, followed by Nick Heidfeld and Rubens Barrichello on days three and four. Universally underwhelming seasons followed with two of those drivers no longer in F1 and the other two out-performed by their team-mates during 2011. So keep that pinch of salt handy, eh
On top of that Nakajima set the fastest Jerez time in early '09 with a 1:17.494. Says it all really.richard_leeds wrote:Sauber tend to set some blistering lap times toward the end of testing. The final column (no. of laps) is perhaps a better indicator of how well they are getting through their test programme.scarlet wrote:On top of that Nakajima set the fastest Jerez time in early '09 with a 1:17.494. If the cars today were to really go for it I bet they'd be a couple seconds faster on top of that, so all the times so far are completely meaningless.

McLaren not putting many laps on the car today. Only De La Rosa has done less than Button. Are McLaren having reliability trouble again?
