RB had 0.5s advantage at most most of the time, not 1.5s.

And the difference it makes is only how far ahead they will finish the race.

Atleast this year we have had a battle within the team, 2011 and 2013 there was NO battle for the title

@sector
Not really, at least there was some hope other would catch them or give them a race. Not this year.

There were more battle for 1st this year than 2011 and 2013. So it was more exciting.

At least Nico's problem didn't decide the title - Lewis would have beaten Massa for second even if Nico had won.

the only hope that existed was if Red Bull had issues.
Mercedes had two wins, Ferrari and Lotus a few but there was never any question who would win the 2013 titles.

The only difference this year was more pace relative to competitors and a battle for the WDC all the way to the last race.
Oh and wheel to wheel racing light years ahead of the previous seasons.

This is just utter BS and you know it.

As for excitement. It was exciting for merc fans, not so much for others. It was the other way around in previous years. Just that in previous years best car didn't have 1s advantage all the time.

It´s true and you know it.

Show me a race in the last 5 years that even compares to Bahrain 2014 GP.

Couldn't disagree more strongly. It's been a great season and a gripping battle for the WDC going right to the wire. Certainly better than the borefest of last season with Vettel wrapping up the championship 3 races before the end, or 2011 which was similar, or some of Schumacher's utterly dominating seasons such as 2002 and 2004.

We've also seen some great races and great battles on track, not just at the front but throughout the rest of the pack too.

Can someone explain Lewis' radio message in which he asked the team not to turn up his car? Not looking for conspiracies. Just trying to understand what that was about from a technical perspective.
