On another note I can't wait to see Fernando Alonso gaining his first victory after 10 years at some point. He has done many mistakes in the past and his character was problematic for many teams but I have a feeling he's become a better person and history owes him something.

Now let's see if we can gain places with strategy.

I dont think just one new floor is gonna change things. We are still waiting to see what this B-Spec Car that they gonna introduce change. In the meantime Verstappen is lucky because Ocon is holding up Sainz and Hamilton and that gives him the chance not to lose time coming behind Ocon as Alonso will step up his speed to do an undercut.

Also I dont think the team is slower than AT or Alpine. They can't pass in Monaco so they handle their tyres.

Lando Norris seems to be a rainmaster or the car also is perfect in these intermediate conditions. In 10 laps he got 25 seconds on Sainz. They are talking by the way about a completely new car. I expect a huge upgrade if we are talking about a completely new faster car and hopefully a car that doesnt have drag or low speed turn problems.

Lando is definitely great in rain. I'm saddened commentators (at least on F1TV) don't seem to notice Lando being 2-3 seconds faster than most on track.

A shame team put him on hards right before the rain. He would have had a chance to catch Sainz/Gasly/Leclerc group.

It delivers average DF but it just isn’t efficient in doing so. Clearly mechanically the car works decently well. Let’s hope this AUS/SIL upgrade really catapults aero side forwards. Mildly excited but prepared to be disappointed
