Wonderful race from Kimi. Another lap and he was winning the race. Shame for Rosberg to have overtaken the Ferraris multiple times and still end up behind one. Vettel driving like a rookie today, just not on his game at all.

Nice race from Lewis maximising his chances and mentions to Bottas for keeping Vettel behind for an eternity.

Now to wait for three weeks until the next race.

Seb forcing Merc in too early stops and on a sub- optimum tyre sequence for overall time and Kimi with soft tyres in a light car on a cooler track at the end which will Overall be the faster strategy if not stuck in traffic.
Yup they are very crafty with their strategy, playing their cards extremely well.
Almost beat a faster machine purely on strategy.

First class job by Bottas to hold a charging Vettel. Vettel approached Bottas at one second per lap and then stuck behind. While Vettel was clumsy, Bottas kept his nerve.
An unexpectedly happy outcome for Lewis. Rosberg fell behind Kimi and Bottas held Vettel allowing Lewis to extend his lead on both the title chasers, by more than what was on cards.

Great race. Kimi was great. Impressed by rosbergs aggression if not pace. Vettel as usual not great nerves when persued . Positives for Bottas, Nasser, ricciardo, hulk . Good all around .

As predicted Hamilton was not any any pressure. Nico got the preffered undercut and still he was again able to eek out a gap. To me it was not even close when kimi was on his charge in the last stint. A controlled race. For the sake of the sport we need the rivals to up their game.

Ferrari have engine upgrades in Barcelona. Might bring more competitiveness, depends how good Merc can develop for Europe also.

Where are the ''Ferrari's race pace will be superior'' experts? Time and time again, Mercedes not showing their hand on friday.

Excellent drive Lewis Hamilton and Rosberg made some beautiful overtakes.

Waiting to see giantfan's response who has been saying that Mercedes weren't sandbagging all weekend.

Great performance by Kimi on the other hand.
+1 on both Statements.
No idea what happened with Vettel. I don't remember seeing him doing so many mistakes in an entire season that he accumulated today in one single race.
He also seemed to run again in tyre woes relatively early. I think he still pushed too hard to soon as a reminiscence of the days when he was leading the races and tried to create a gap that he could then manage. That works brilliantly in a dominant car but it is bound to fail in an inferior car. And inferior in ultimate pace the Ferari still is. There you have to manage the tyres from the get go.
You ca see that with Kimi. At the beginning of the races he is usually nowhere to be seen. Preserving his tyres. Not getting nervous when the gap initally opens up. Keeping the overall plan in mind. You could really watch that at work today.
Seb needs to learn from Kimi how to approach a race where you don't have the luxury of having an equal or even superior car. He made the same mistake last year with the RB. Alternatively Ferrari will have to further catch up with the Mercs.
Seb has an excellent single lap pace (probably one of the two bests together with Lewis) but his race craft still doesn't seem to be top notch when not leading the pack (Funnily he can preserve tyres when he is leading).

Edit: It is a delight to see a motivated Kimi again. His performance seems to be exactly proportional to his Motivation -more so than any other Driver I could think of. When he loses it he is immediately 1s slower - you could see that last year where after some bad luck re completely resigned.

Awesome race for Kimi, Lewis lucky enough the gp was not 1 lap longer because of his brake problems or they´d have lost the race (that´s what Mercedes said on his web)

Meanwhile Rosberg continue proving he does not deserve that car. Yeah he did some very nice overtakings, but never was close to Hamilton, and that should be his target instead of fighting with slower cars

For an instant I tought Alonso/McLaren was going to score his very first point, but not the case

I hope Barcelona will be a definite step forward to see them fighting for points consistently

I guess giantfan was not the only one fighting the losing battle. So here are some myths that have busted so far.
1. It is now a reality that, Ferrari DOES NOT have any tyre advantage whatsoever over Merc. Even in Malaysia, it was not degradation that ruined Merc's party, but it was their strategy mess. On average pace, Mercs were faster there too.
2. There was another point on which the debate was going on that Ferrari is better on Rear Limited circuits, turned out that does not hold any water either.
3. Ferrari has speed advantage on straights. Busted.
4. Someone said, Merc will struggle on stop and go corners and Bahrain has some stop and go corners, wrong again.
What's next?
It turned out that the Medium was the tyre to be on in this race. If Merc would have done OPP, they should have had an easy 1-2.
