Just leaving Red Bull is a positive for all rivals regardless of what he does next , the most successful team has been weakened. Now we have to see who's the most positive one , probably Ferrari

I think this does not play a role. He is not managing the technical team. So I guess already now he is doing basic R&D and works remotely.
The bigger issue is the contract. I am not sure if there is an exit clause. If there is none, then he is bound to the RB contract till end 25. Plus a possible gardening leave clause.
But still, he can start in 26 earliest at an age of 67?

Working with Lewis and helping him win another title might be what swings Newey towards Ferrari. I expect with this story coming out now, it won't be long til we find out if it's in fact correct and where he's headed. Red Bull's PR seems to be scrambling at the moment.

This. As much as having Newey would be great for rival teams, everyone else not having him as almost as good. If Ferrari has to wait until 2027 but can ensure he doesn’t work in RB’s 2026 car, I really think that’s a big win in itself.

Since he arrived in the team, he never had a single bit of #1 status even if he was and is quicker than his team mates both in Q and R trim. With Lewis in, equal treatment remains a sure thing in Ferrari.
