The orientation of the two part wishbone looks to be helping in managing FW upwash but just the orientation of the two parts is going to create a bit of DF.Holm86 wrote:I cant see it creating downforce. If Merc have a lot of problems then you wonder how many problems the other cars have and how many of them are yet to be found.andrewf1 wrote:So AMuS reports Rosberg saying that:
-the car, as expected, did show some problems (a huge list, actually) during testing, but that these things are normal, having been identified thanks to the amount of running they did in Jerez. Should be sorted out for the next test.
-the new brake-by-wire system is not sorted out yet, problems with the brake-balance
-vibrations at the back of the car, which should also be fixed
-not possible to judge the performance of the car, the Jerez test was purely a reliability test.

Add to that list Toto Wolff saying that although the cooling worked fine at Jerez, it could present an issue in Bahrain and you end up with some busy 2 weeks for the Merc engineers until the next test - but it should all be within plan.
Bahrain's temperatures at this time are not even that high. It could be until malaysia that we'll actually see a true test for cooling.andrewf1 wrote: Add to that list Toto Wolff saying that although the cooling worked fine at Jerez, it could present an issue in Bahrain and you end up with some busy 2 weeks for the Merc engineers until the next test - but it should all be within plan.
The article does say it is normal to have a long list.Anon123 wrote:If Merc have a lot of problems then you wonder how many problems the other cars have and how many of them are yet to be found.
From what I can tell, they seem pretty pleased - problems and all.andrewf1 wrote:So AMuS reports Rosberg saying that:

Haha, if so, one would worry that they didn't try hard enough.SectorOne wrote:I would be more worried if they had no problems honestly.
