"...and there, very much in flames, is Jacques Laffite's Ligier. That's obviously a turbo blaze, and of course, Laffite will be able to see that conflagration in his mirrors... he is coolly parking the car somewhere safe." Murray Walker, San Marino 1985

Do you have the Maldonado version of this pic? I found smaller ones and I made a comparison; they are running different front wings, nose and floor. But pics with higher Res show them better obviously.

Can you point out some differences?
I only see grosjean running more front wing and judging by the decal a slightly shorter tusk nose for Maldonado.
Thank you really doesn't really describe enough what I feel. - Vettel

Interesting.
There is many other small differences. Could be a nice ''spot the difference'' game : P

And the bottom part of the monocoque, under the 'Clear' sticker looks different to me on Mal's car :!:

Fairly obvious for a long time third grade engine support and units:

I don't how precise this is but let's say "it's reaching" 30 hp. Too little too late to talk about it now after endless "special partnership" claims.

So according to Permane and AMuS
-aero is more stable now
-windtunnel data corelation is better
-they worked on the settings for the first time yesterday
-RBR and STR get new engine updates first
-Lotus even got old PU parts in Bahrain testing days (old Kers+old engine)
-That's because of Renault's smaller budget (50%less than Merc says AMuS)
-less power for Lotus (30hp)
-In Spain they should get the same engines as RBR

This rear wing looks bizarre to me, the "attack" seems too high.

In second thought, when I compare to aeroplane wing shape and lift force, and then reverse the figure I understand this also gives some down force with bottom part of airflow, and probably avoiding some drag penalty. I don't know how to explain that (not easy for a non aerodynamicist not english speaker), but less effect of airflow striking an uplifted surface, and more effect on airflow passing under the wing and being accelerate compare the one above, generating under pressured zone below the wing (reverse lift force).

But well, still bizarre. Any other team being such extreme with attack angle of the rear wing ?

EDIT : sorry alredy discussed before in the thread, here :

Looks like they made some changes under the bpdywork. The intercooler's water rad is now inline with the bigger (oil?) rad and it's bigger.

If that's the Oil rad then maybe it was taken off with the engine as I believe they took it apart to fix an oil leak in the first place.

I think the Sepang small rad is the intercooler's water radiator, not an oil rad.
